Slalom show in Sosnovy Bor
(August 2001)

August 10 is a national holiday for all constructors (so called Constructor Day). In Sosnovy Bor (nice satellite city near St.Petersburg - see ...), in 2001 for this Holiday a group of inline skaters from St.Petersburg were invited.

These 5 skaters were the best riders of St.Petersburg: Denis Kibizov, Nikita Zhukov, Alex Tsvetkof, Stas Safronov and Serge Onishenko.

The event organisers asked these skaters to prepare a slalom show to demonstrate their skills. Riders decided to show both single slalom elements and their combinations, when skating single and in the whole group.

One of tricks was that of using real Wine Glasses instead of slalom cones! See pictures and video. Ironically, these glasses were not broken (except for the end of show)!

The audience and riders were very satisfied with the show. We hope this will be the regular event.
