Carnival in Pushkin
(June 24, 2000)

On June 24, 2000 a group of inline skaters from St.Petersburg and Moscow visited a Carnival in Pushkin city (one of St.Petersburg' suburbs). Such a carnival is an annual event: a lot of costumes, different competitions, concerts etc. We (15 people) skated all the city and had a real fun.

Before the trip to Pushkin at Palace Square. Skaters from St.Petersburg and Moscow are glad to see each other once again.
Central Station. Our group and all our backpacks. It was raining this morning, but we hope to skate in Pushkin.

In the train. Good team, good spirit, right direction - to Pushkin so to participate in Carnival!

Finally, we are in Pushkin! Wearing our skates. We are ready to get rolling via streets.
Near Grand Palace. One of its beatiful railings.

We skated a lot in Pushkin. Good trails, perfect picnic, strange people at Carnival :-). Different competitions (e.g., 'What balcony is the best?'). We were the only skaters in this small city.

Time to come back to St.Petersburg. A little bit tired, but very satisfied! This Carnival is once per year. We will come in 2001. You are welcome!
