Skating in Sestroretsk and via ring road
(June 6, 2003)

Group skate via Sestroretsk and ring road.

Last year we made a trial attempt to skate a section of our new ring road. We found very good conditions for skating there:

- good asphalt,
- wide road
- interesting scenery,
- low traffic

Let us skate in a group, together with bikers!

Short info about this road: it is a section of a further complete ring road around St.Petersburg. In the north, it is connected to the dikes. So, you can skate directly from Kronstadt to the city straight forward. The total distance of such route will be about 40 km. And the length of the ring road section where we skated is 18 km (from Gorskaya railway station to Vyborgskoie Road).

Our group in Sestroretsk. Near railway station.

Skating nice streets near Gulf of Finnland. A beatiful pine forest is around.

An intermediate stop. Monument to Vladimir Lenin, founder of a Soviet Republic.

Skating a ring road. There is a nice forest at both sides of this road.

Last kilometers before the end of route.

Our last stop. It is so nice to relax in a grass… Here our group is splitted. Some people reached St.Petersburg at the bus, and the remaining part of us came back to Sestroretsk.

Young bikers, workout.
